Stories of Matter
Our first installation featuring soft sculptures and drawings. This work explores themes of entangled connections, balancing both solid and ethereal forms. The drawings carry a strong notion of movement, and feature magnetic fields, natural, earthly, and celestial landscapes. The sculptures are made from lightweight, paper-like white textiles, while the drawings encompass a full spectrum of dark to light colours. In this environment visitors are invited to engage with the soft sculptures: sitting, lying, or hugging them while observing the drawings. Supported by the Mondriaan Artist Start in 2021, this work was showcased at Art Rotterdam, the Nieuw en Meer AIR exhibition, and the group exhibition Here, which launched the new art platform Milkfish in 2021. It was later featured at Spirit Rotterdam in 2022 and at Elo Food Based in Amsterdam in 2024.
