Between Worlds
by Boyan Montero
This installation is an ode to childhood and a way to reconnect with it through two elements: a paper drawing on the wall and an objectbased drawing on the floor. The wall drawing serves as a message for your inner child, while the floor piece gathers toys and clothes from the artist’s childhood, objects they try to preserve as markers of memory.

Duality of Love : Scales of Thoth
by Wolf Maria Mulder
Wolf Maria Mulder believes in the power of active remembering to shape our identity and inspire positive change. Memories are essential for learning from the past and influencing the future. He creates ‘souvenirs’ of everyday moments, showing the hidden beauty of these moments. For the series With Love, he created an art piece about the power of transcendent love after the loss of his son. This work is a tribute to Ree and to all parents who have lost a child. It is a search for wisdom and meaning in the grieving process and a celebration of the power of transcendent love that connects us.

Wolf: “In 2021, we became parents to our son Ree. He was born prematurely at 16 weeks, not as we had dreamed. We felt a love that transcended the boundaries of life and death when we saw our son for the first time. In London, we saw a papyrus scroll with an image of a baboon on a scale. The baboon symbolizes the Egyptian god Thoth, who weighs the souls of the dead and represents wisdom and knowledge. The image deeply affected us. The baboon with a scale symbolized the duality of our experience: the heaviness of loss and the lightness of love. My art project, “Duality of Love: Scales of Thoth”, explores this conflict. It depicts a baboon, beloved and revered as Thoth, with a bright sun in the sky. The linocut technique, with its removal of material, reflects the loss and emptiness we still experience to this day.”
